Diwali, also known as the Festival of Lights, is the biggest festival in the Hindu calendar and is celebrated in October or November each year. This year celebrations fall on Thursday 4th November. Bonfire Night is back with a bang!

"Remember, remember the Fifth of November, gunpowder, treason and plot..." Bonfire Night is celebrated on 5th November and marks the anniversary of the discovery of a plot organized by Catholic conspirators to blow up the Houses of Parliament in London in 1605. With events slowly returning to normal, this year's celebrations are set to be a blast! Ahead of the big night, these Purple Mash activities should help you get in the mood.

World Mental Health Day

The World Health Organisation recognizes World Mental Health day on 10th October every year. This year’s theme set by the World Federation for Mental Health is ‘Mental Health in an Unequal World’. There are a range of resources that schools and teachers can use to mark #WorldMentalHealthDay #WMHD2021.

EU Code Week

EU Code Week is a grassroots initiative which aims to bring coding and digital literacy to everybody in a fun and engaging way.  Learning to code helps us make sense of the rapidly changing world around us and the EU Code Week website has a range of resources and toolkits for teachers to help you get started. This year #CodeWeek runs from 9th-24th October.
