Computer Science Week with Purple Mash

Computer Science education week is held annually in recognition of the birthday of computing pioneer Admiral Grace Murray Hooper; this year the week runs from December 7-13. Purple Mash has a whole range of applications and activities that you can make use of either for an hour of code, the whole week and even throughout the year.

Python in Pieces would be a perfect resource to use for #HourOfCode. Transition your students from block-based coding to Python with guided lessons, open-ended activities and the ability to translate block-code to Python in both directions.

This will focus on a tool or application within Purple Mash and how it can be used within the classroom to support learning across the curriculum. Road Safety Week is the ideal time to run road safety lessons and assemblies or launch a campaign for safer local streets.
